Detroit newcomer Dej Loaf made her television debut last night when she performed her street anthem “Try Me” on The Tonight Show. Watch her performance over at Rap-Up.

Can’t say we’re sad about this. Last week, producer Rodney Jerkins discussed remaking Brandy and Monica’s ’90s R&B duet “The Boy Is Mine,” and he mentioned enlisting the talents of Jessie J and Ariana Grande. Of course, people weren’t happy about the song being remade or Rodney’s choice of singers, but the remake is not happening – yet. During the American Music Awards, Jessie J revealed she spoke with Brandy, and is not doing the song. [Complex]
