Berlin native Bibi Bourelly, who’s responsible for penning Rihanna’s 2015 single “Bitch Better Have My Money,” is starting off 2016 with a brand new single of her own called “Sally.”
In an interview with Billboard, Bibi explained that “Sally” is her alter ego.
“Sally is just a song that I wrote talking to my alter ego. When I write, I don’t really consciously say, ‘This is what I’ve been going through in my life and I’m gonna put this into words,” she explained. “I’m not like Beyonce and Sasha Fierce but in that moment [writing the song], I was being too much of a bitch to say ‘Bibi’ so I said ‘Sally.‘”
Toward the end of 2015, Bibi collaborated with Usher and Nas on their protest song “Chains,” which exclusively featured an interactive video on TIDAL. Bibi’s also getting her feet wet in the interactive video world with her new single “Sally.”
