Cullen Jones and the USA Olympic swimming team beat out the entire world to bring home the gold, the silvers and to make their country proud.
Born in the Bronx, New York, Cullen and his family moved to New Jersey when he was just a youngin'. As a black Olympic swimmer, Cullen smashed a multitude of stereotypes, but his first encounter with the water wasn't a good one.
Cullen actually learned to swim after a tragic mishap at a water park almost cost him his life when he was just 5 years old. Since then, aside from winning medals, the swimmer has made it his duty to urge parents to teach their children how to swim.
We were lucky enough to have the Olympian swing by the offices straight from London to hang out with the GlobalGrind team and show off his medals.
