50 Cent Mourns The Loss Of Chris Lighty (DETAILS)

Hip-hop took a huge blow when news broke that music impresario, Chris Lighty, had passed away.

Swarms of hip-hop legends and music artists came out to send prayers and positivity to Chris and his mourning family. 

Chris Lighty built his empire on forging relationships and managing some of hip-hop's biggest artists, including 50 Cent. 

Over the years, Chris guided 50 Cent's career, as well as collaborated on many business deals with the Get Rich Or Die Tryin' rapper.

We got word that 50 Cent was absolutely heartbroken and distraught over Chris' untimely death, and in a statement released by his publicist, 50 Cent states: 

"Chris has been an important part of my business and personal growth for a decade," he said. "He was a good friend and advisor who helped me develop as an artist and businessman. My prayers are with his family. He will be greatly missed."

Chris and 50 Cent didn't only have a close business relationship, the two hip-hop moguls were longtime friends.
