First, Frank Ocean drops his debut album Channel Orange on iTunes, and then Nas’ Life Is Good makes it onto the ‘net, both of which are incredible albums.
Adding to the excitement of this week, Toronto R&B singer The Weeknd hopped on Twitter to announce that he’s currently working on an “insane” new project.
The Weeknd burst onto the music scene with his debut mixtape House Of Balloons, which received great reviews by music critics as being one of the best mixtapes of 2011.
The somewhat elusive singer went on to release two more mixtapes, Thursday and Echoes Of Silence, creating a trilogy of mysterious music.
Over the past few months, The Weeknd ditched hiding behind balloons and shadows when he performed at this year’s Coachella Festival and went on tour this spring.
There’s no word on a release date, but we’re hoping to get a new Weeknd project by late fall, early winter.
