Romney: "I Used To Think That Becoming Rich And Famous Would Make Me Happy, Boy Was I Right"
Jokes On Mitt! “I Used To Think That Becoming Rich & Famous Would Make Me Happy, Boy Was I Right” (VIDEO)
In a 2005 video recently uncovered by Buzzfeed, then-Governor Mitt Romney told attendees at a St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast that becoming rich and famous is everything he ever dreamed of as a child.

“When I was a boy, I used to think that becoming rich and becoming famous would make me happy. Boy, was I right,” Mitt was quoted as saying.
An article published by the Boston Globe in 2005 said that Romney, who was wearing a green tie and boutonnière, was joking with the local politicians who attended the comedy breakfast.
Although Mitt was cracking a joke, the emergence of this comment could not have come at a worse time for the wanna-be president. He can’t seem to shake the image of appearing as an out-of-touch rich politician.
Last week, Mitt released his 2011 tax returns, which revealed that he paid a 14.1 percent tax rate on millions of dollars that he earned. Not to mention that he infamously trashed 47 percent of Americans as government dependent freeloaders.
Mitt has a lot of work to do in order to reach the American people, but it just may be too late!
