Jordan Brown, a 12-year-old boy is being charged as an adult after allegedly committing a heinous crime. Brown is being tried for the murder of his father’s pregnant fiancé, Kenzie Houkas, she slept in bed, reports are stating that the boy shot her in the head with a shotgun as she slept. Should Brown be placed in juvenile court in the hopes of rehabilitation? That seems to be the controversy surrounding this case. The judge feels as though the attempts won’t reach the child before Jordan turns 21, so it only makes sense for him to be sentenced as an adult.
