Lola Monroe, formerly known as video vixen Angel Lola Luv has graced our TV’s starring in some of our favorite videos, from 50 Cent’s “I Get Money,” to Kanye West’s “Good Life,” to Trey Songz “Wonder Woman.” But recently she’s given up the videos to become more than just a pretty face and banging body, pursuing a rap career that she says is where her true passion lies. In a recent interview with XXL magazine, Ms. Monroe stated “When I got into the industry I knew that I would eventually get out of the videos and get into what my heart was in, which was music.”

She speaks on supposed beef with Nicki Minaj and states that none exists, they are 2 different artists with 2 different styles doing their own thing. Being featured on Rasheeda’s most recent mixtape on the “BedRock Remix” along with Diamond, and Lil Wayne’s ex-wife Toya Carter gained Lola Monroe a lot of recognition. Quitting the industry at the peak of her career truly shows how serious she is about her music. Getting ready to release her fourth mixtape, she is definitely giving the other chicks in the rap game a run for their money. It’s good to see more females representing in Hip-Hop and being able to get along.
