President Barack Obama was speaking at the Fortune Magazine’s Most Powerful Women Summits. Now usually they don’t allow men to speak at their conferences but not only did the Prez get a pass but as CEO of TIME Inc Ann Moore, puts it, President Barack Obama had ‘earned this podium’ on Tuesday, considering his Cabinet and Supreme Court appointments.
Minutes later, things were falling apart at that podium.
While speaking to hundreds of guests, the Presidential Seal came crashing down in front of Obama. According to White House pool reporter Chuck Lewis, he was able to laugh it off.
Presidential Seals aside, Obama is targeting youth in his next town hall meeting. On Oct. 14, President Obama will host a Youth Town Hall discussion where he will field questions from about 250 young adults and users of the social networking micro-blog Twitter. Now that’s a good look the Prez needs the young people to rally for him just like in 2008, hopefully he will give us some answers that we desperately need.
