Last night Funkmaster Flex premiered a new Lloyd Banks record on Hot 97 here in NYC. The song was originally titled, ‘Trackstar’ but has since been renamed to ‘Start It Up’. For this record Lloyd enlisted the talents of Kanye West, Swizz Beatz, Ryan Leslie & Fabolous. We dig it and from what it is starting to sound like, Hunger For More 2 is shapping up to be a dope album. Be on the look out for the album which is schedule to be released on November 23rd.
Following Kanye’s lead Lloyd recently spoke about a new strategy for promting the album. Here is what he had to say: ‘I’m not gonna stop putting out mixtape material, I don’t know if I’m gonna put it out in the form of a mixtape,’ Banks told WV Soul Magazine. ‘But every Friday, I’ve been releasing a new record. Every Friday for ‘Blue Fridays.’ So I figure we do that for the next eight, nine weeks and by the time the album comes out, [the fans] will have a mixtape if they put it all together.’
