Jennifer Hudson returns to her roots in the music video for ‘Where You At’ and she looks as gorgeous and serene as ever, even though the song may be a heartbreaking ode to lost love.

‘Where You At’ is off of Hudson’s upcoming sophomore album ‘I Remember Me’ (out March 22nd) and features the newly svelte singer walking around her chilly hometown of Chicago and feeling low while her significant other is away.

In related news, the Oscar-winning actress got into character by staying in a prison cell for three days for her role as Winnie Mandela in an upcoming biopic.

Hudson must depict the 500-plus days the former wife of Nelson Mandela spent in solitary confinement, so Hudson confined herself to a prison set in South Africa. She told Newsweek that she wanted to “experience some of the hell that woman went through.’
