Contenders: Donald Trump vs. Barack Obama

Match: Donald Trump called out President Obama during an appearance on “The View” Wednesday, demanding the nation’s leader put an end to the debate over whether or not he was actually born in the United States. “I want him to show his birth certificate. I want him to show his birth certificate,” Trump shouted to the show’s five co-hosts. “There’s something on that birth certificate that he doesn’t like.” Trump, who was on the show to discuss his own potential presidential run in 2012, said he felt Obama was probably born in the U.S.

What: These first images of inside the stricken Fukushima Dai-Ichi power plant reveal the terrifying conditions under which brave men work to save their nation from full nuclear meltdown.

The Fukushima Fifty – an anonymous band of lower and mid-level managers – have battled around the clock to cool overheating reactors and spent fuel rods since the disaster on March 11.

What:  A major spill of heavy crude oil from a wrecked freighter has coated an estimated 20,000 endangered penguins on a remote South Atlantic island chain, the local authorities and environmental groups said Tuesday. More than 800 tons of fuel oil has leaked from the Maltese-registered ship.

Who: Jennifer Zuniga 

What Happened: Jennifer Zuniga has been arrested for allegedly encouraging her son to fight another boy in a bout that was caught on tape. 

Zuniga of Ceres, CA was arrested this week for allegedly telling her son to beat up another boy, even giving him pointers during the fight. The video (below) has circulated on the internet.

Whose Wallet: North Carolina transportation officials

Weight: $461 million 

How They Hustled: North Carolina transportation officials say they’ve reached an agreement that will allow them to obtain $461 million in federal grants to improve train service. Officials say the new service would cut travel time from Charlotte to Raleigh to less than three hours, even with seven stops along the way. However, the ride will only be 13 minutes faster.
