Model and mogul Iman, dressed in head-to-toe Prabal Gurung, was the Mistress of Ceremonies last night at the Gordon Parks Foundation Awards Dinner & Auction held at New York City’s Gotham Hall.
Performance artists Blue Man Group was the musical guest while Karl Lagerfeld, Spike Lee, Arianna Huffington and Sir Richard Robinson were honored guests.
The night began with a red carpet and cocktails followed by dinner and an awards ceremony presented by HBO and the Foundation and an auction of photographs by some of today’s most noted photographers and artists.
The Gordon Parks Foundation, a division of the Meserve-Kunhardt Foundation, was established in 2007 to preserve Gordon Parks’ creative work, continue to make it available to the public and to honor others who have contributed their lives to the arts.
The proceeds from the event will be used to help mount the first major retrospective of Parks’ work since his death as well as to continue the permanent preservation of his work, making it available to schools, museums and communities around the world.
After the break, more Iman, Spike and Lagerfeld, Rachel Roy and Russell Simmons.
