Saigon hopped on board with the “No More Drug War” campaign and dropped the song “Drugs.”

The commemorative track comes to us on the 40th Anniversary of Richard Nixon’s declaration of war on drugs. The lyrics express a disagreement with the policy and its backfire on the Black/Hispanic communities.

“The war on drugs is really the opposite/should be called drugs on war ’cause somebody getting their pockets hit,” Saigon raps.

Saigon answered the call of the Drug Policy Alliance and In Arms Reach and is taking a stance through his lyrics. “I’m clearly a lyricist not a conspiracy theorist I just need muthaf**kas to hear this,” he says.

Take a listen to “Drugs” and listen close to Saigon’s cutthroat words. What do you think?
