Who: State Rep. Jarrod Martin

What Happened: State Rep. Jarrod Martin is facing drunken driving and child endangerment charges for a July 22nd traffic stop. He was also kicked out of a Beavercreek hotel in 2010 for being drunk and fighting and a few months earlier, was found passed out in a downtown Columbus parking garage, according to police records.

Who: Amy Jackson

Where: Georgia

What Happened: Amy Jackson, 35, from Bulloch County, Georgia, was arrested after one of her students claimed she was having sex with him. The 14-year-old boy allegedly told his parents about the incident, who in turn called the police. 

Jackson has resigned from the school after being charged with aggravated child molestation, three counts of child molestation, statutory rape, enticing a child for indecent purposes, sexual assault by a person with supervisory or disciplinary authority, two counts computer or electronic child exploitation, sexual exploitation of children and six counts of furnishing harmful material to minors.

What Happened: Jose Antonio Acosta Hernandez, nicknamed El Diego, a former police officer who admits ordering 1,500 killings during a campaign of terror as a drug cartel chief, has been captured in northern Mexico.

El Diego, has been identified as the head of La Linea – a gang of hit men and corrupt officers who act as enforcers for the Juarez Cartel.

Who: Hege Dalen and her partner, Toril Hansen

What Happened: Hege Dalen and her partner Toril Hansen were on the Utöyan Island where Anders Behring Breivik killed 68 people, when they began to hear gunfire and screaming on the island.

“We saw how the young people ran in panic into the lake,” says Dalen in an interview. The couple immediately took action and pushed the boat into Lake Tyrifjorden rescuing at least a couple dozen students.

Whose Wallet: Prince Alwaleed

Weight: $1.2 Billion

How They Hustled: Kingdom Holding, the Saudi firm owned by billionaire businessman Prince Alwaleed, has signed a construction contract to build the world’s tallest tower in Jeddah.

Binladin Group, one of the kingdom’s biggest contractors, won the $1.2 billion deal for the one-kilometer tall Jeddah Tower, which is set to steal the crown from Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.

What Happened: With the death of German President Paul von Hindenburg, Chancellor Adolf Hitler becomes absolute dictator of Germany under the title of Fuhrer, or “Leader.” The German army took an oath of allegiance to its new commander-in-chief, and the last remnants of Germany’s democratic government were dismantled to make way for Hitler’s Third Reich.
