It’s been almost three months since Casey Anthony was acquitted of charges related to the murder of her daughter Caylee. A new video has just emerged of the moment when Casey was told that Caylee’s remains had been found. The Daily Mail reports,
A Florida judge has decided to release jailhouse video of Casey Anthony being told that the remains of her two-year-old daughter had been found in 2008.
Judge Belvin Perry ruled Friday that protecting Anthony’s right to a fair trial was no longer an issue.
He also dismissed defence claims that the video should remain secret under medical privacy laws and that unsealing it would be ‘inflammatory.’
Defence attorneys had argued she was in a jail medical facility when she found out and received a sedative to calm her down.
Anthony was acquitted in July of killing her daughter Caylee, but she was found guilty on three counts of lying to police.
An Orlando television station had filed the request to release the video earlier this week. The tape has been sealed since June 2009.
