This exotically beautiful Singaporean-Chinese and Portuguese model isn’t afraid to show off her curves and we’re loving every second of it.
Jessica covers the November issue of Maxim Magazine but didn’t make it there without stirring up some controversy in the process.
Some are calling her out for her cover, saying it’s too suggestive. Suggestive or not she looks smokin’ hot! Jessica spoke exclusively with GlobalGrind to discuss her Maxim shoot. Check it out below!
GlobalGrind: Your Maxim shoot looks great! What was that like for you, did you enjoy the shoot?
Thank you. It was such a relief because I got the news after I was voted out of Dancing with the Stars. I had come in third and lasted until the semi-finals. I hopped on a plane to L.A. to shoot for the Maxim cover and I was so happy.
This is image is a really powerful one. What were you thinking?
I felt really happy and comfortable. It was a warm day on the beach and we were having fun in the sun and playing around. I was thinking, get the money shot, as the stylist put a lot of effort into making those necklaces cover my chest!
Where did the shoot take place?
In Malibu at an amazing house right on the water.
True or False: It’s easier to work with female photographers than male ones.
FALSE! It doesn’t really matter. I think it’s about a photographer making you feel comfortable, and having a connection and letting the magic happen smoothly. It’s always nice when you respect each other and you communicate and work well. It’s important for a model to be professional on a shoot and take direction well. At the end of the day, you want to get the best shots possible so you can look at them and be proud of them from both ends. It’s all about confidence, presence and fun!
Describe your thoughts when you learned you’d landed your first Sports Illustrated issue.
I was just really excited! I knew that it’s such a huge magazine in America and I knew that it would change my career and take it to another level. Also, all I thought about was trying to get abs like Marissa Miller! It didn’t work though! (Laughs).
