For the last five years, Melina Matsoukas has been the woman behind the lens for some of the most memorable music videos in music.
The NYU grad’s visuals have been known to combine bright colors with retro and sometimes gritty visuals. She has directed videos for musical heavyweights like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna.
And speaking of Rihanna, Ms. Matsoukas was the mastermind behind our favorite video of the moment, Rihanna’s “We Found Love.”
