North Korea’s longtime leader Kim Jong Il died of heart failure earlier today at the age of 69.

Jong Il inherited power after his father, revered North Korean founder Kim Il Sung, died in 1994.

STORY: North Korea’s Leader Kim Jong Il Is Dead

In September 2010, Jong Il unveiled his third son, the twenty-something Kim Jong Un, as his successor.

The story on Jong Un is that the heir apparent is looking forward to his new position as North Korea’s new head by getting plastic surgeries to look more like his grandpa, Kim Il Sung!

In 2010, the Telegraph reported that Jong-Un may have had numerous plastic surgeries to look like his grandpa:

“A lot of people in South Korea have pointed out that Kim’s face is very different from when he was young, particularly the shape of his chin,” Toshimitsu Shigemura, a professor at Tokyo’s Waseda University and author of a number of books on the North Korean leadership, told The Daily Telegraph.

“From previous photos, everyone had remarked that he looked nothing like his grandfather, so the change is quite dramatic,” he said.

Either way, the boy Jong-Un has some new responsibilities on his plate!
