HOUSE OF LIES premieres Sunday, January 8 on Showtime. The series stars Marty Kaan (Don Cheadle), Jeanie Van Der Hooven (Kristen Bell), Clyde Oberholt (Ben Schwartz), Doug Guggenheim (Josh Lawson), Monica Talbot (Dawn Olivieri), Roscoe Kaan (Donis Leonard Jr.) and Jeremia Kaan (Glynn Turman).

In the series, Marty Kaan and his team of MBA-toting management consultants are playing America’s one percent for everything they’ve got. They put the con in consulting as they charm smug, unsuspecting corporate fat cats into closing huge deals, and spending a fortune for their services. Twisting the facts, spinning the numbers, and spouting just enough business school jargon to dazzle the clients, there’s no end to what this crew won’t do to and for each other, while laughing all the way to the bank.

In honor of HOUSE OF LIES and it’s funny, dirty business, we caught up with Yelawolf and Steve Stout to find out some of the best and most interesting business advice they’ve ever given or received.

Let’s get down to some funny, dirty, business. Don’t miss the new comedy HOUSE OF LIES (@SHO_HouseOfLies) January 8 at 10PM ET on SHOWTIME.

What’s the best advice Eminem has given you so far?

Yelawolf: He doesn’t really give me personal advice. We don’t have conversations like that. He just said welcome to the game. I’ve told him that I’ve gone through specific situations with radio and having a hard time opening up. The only thing he ever said really was just “Welcome to the game, buddy.” A lot of great advice just goes without saying. I’ve watched him, which has been a huge influence. He doesn’t have to say much. He says so much with his music and his career. I pay attention and I’m humble when I’m around him in the studio soaking it up.

What advice would you give someone who wants to be successful?

Steve Stoute: [They need to] work their asses off, be determined on what they want. Ignore noise. Things are just around buzzing in your ear to get you distracted but not letting those things distract you. Accessibility. People have gotta be able to get you on the phone, you’ve gotta be reachable, always be available. So availability, persistence and ignoring noise [are important qualities all successful people should have].
