Many were left in shock after it was reported by the Baltimore Sun that a man named Omar Little was arrested on gun charges.

The story caused many viewers of the hit show The Wire to believe that the real man arrested was actor Michael K. Williams. On The Wire, Michael plays a neighborhood gunman named Omar Little.
But it turns out it was all a misunderstanding!
According to the Baltimore Sun, it turns out there is a real Omar Little in the Baltimore neighborhood, who has absolutely no association with Michael.
But the strange thing is the real Omar Little has a criminal history that resembles The Wire‘s character Omar Little.
Coincidence? That’s what the show’s creator David Simon called it. The Wire‘s casting team supposedly did not even know an Omar Little existed in Baltimore.
This whole situation is quite humorous, except for the real Omar Little. All of you Wire fans should feel a bit relieved knowing Michael K. Williams has not made his acting life his real life!
