The U.S. Justice Department made huge headlines in the midst of the SOPA/PIPA controversy when they raided the offices of Megaupload, the file-sharing website with 150 million registered users and 50 million hits daily.

The watch dogs shut down Megaupload for flagrant copyright infringement, taking down its founder, former CEO and current chief innovation officer Kim Dotcom, also known as Kim Schmitz and Kim Tim Jim Vestor.

The portly playboy is known around many parts of Europe for his fast cars and even faster lifestyle. Dotcom has become a focal point of the online copyright piracy war that has been raging for the last couple of days.

Dotcom started out his career as a hacker, even spending time in jail. He invested and lost millions in companies until he started Megaupload, which turned his life around.

This may be the last go around for Dotcom because if he’s found guilty this time, he faces up to 20 years in jail.

Before the Justice Department puts Dotcom behind bars for the next 20 years, let’s take a look at the lifestyle of Megaupload’s burly big boy.
