Raven-Symoné, most famous for the show That’s So Raven, is coming back on the scene. But don’t expect the newly svelte star to pop up on your television again – instead she’s hitting up Broadway!
The 26-year-old singer/actress is apparently joining the Broadway cast of Sister Act, according to Deadline.com.
At the end of March, Raven will begin playing the lead role of Deloris Van Cartier, who used to be played by Tony nominee Patina Miller. Whoopi Goldberg played this character in the super popular movie version of Sister Act.
The actress is reportedly signed onto the role for at least six months.
However, a spokesperson for Sister Act told Playbill.com, “No future casting can be confirmed at this time.”
Maybe Whoopi will get in touch with Raven to give her some tips!
