At first glance, it appears that hip hop mogul Russell Simmons has reunited with his former squeeze Melissa George after only announcing their split a few days ago.
But on closer inspection, the slim, beautiful blonde next to Simmons’ side on a Miami beach is most definitely not the Australian actress, who he squired on the sand in St. Barts just recently.

Simmons blamed the split on ‘the difficulty of long-distance relationships.’ The 54-year-old took to Twitter to officially confirm the split last Tuesday, after rumors surfaced that the two had parted ways last month. ‘Long-distance relationships are to say the least difficult,’ he wrote on his account. ‘For me & melissa a few weeks ago .. We agreed impossible.’
New model? Russell’s friend could easily be mistaken for the former Home and Away actress, who is based in London.
While it seems Russell and his friend are having fun, we can’t help but think of the Drake lyric when he raps: “I just see my ex girl, standing with my next girl, standing with the girl that I’m seeing right now.” It’s all in fun.
