Shortly after being released from a Washington D.C. jail yesterday afternoon for protesting George Clooney held a press conference to spread his message on the humanitarian issues in Sudan and South Sudan.

The actor says:
“Listen, what we’ve been trying to achieve today is we’re trying to bring attention to an ongoing emergency. Our job right now is to try to bring attention to it, and one of those ways was, apparently, get arrested. You never know if you’re going to accomplish anything, all we’re trying to do is bring attention to a moment. We hope this brings attention to it.”
Clooney also joked about his arrest. When asked what his girlfriend Stacy Keibler reaction to the incident was, he replied: “probably thrilled.”
We’re sure that’s not true!

George along with his father Nick were charged with disorderly crossing of a police line but were let out of custody after posting $100 bail.
TMZ also caught up with Ocean’s Eleven star and questioned him on who his one phone call was with and he replied “my mom…nothing ever changes.”
