The population just isn’t buying the argument for self-defense. They have been demanding that an arrest of George is made, and Florida authorities have been reluctant to do so.

The Obama administration has even moved forward and opened up an investigation via the United States Justice Department. President Obama expressed his own sentiments saying:

“When I think about this boy, I think about my own kids. I think every parent in America should be able to understand why it is absolutely imperative to investigate every aspect of this and that everybody pulls together – federal, state and local – to figure out exactly how this tragedy happened.”

President Obama isn’t the only celebrity that has been outspoken, NY Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire has been vocal as well telling reporters:

“That’s not too far from where I grew up, maybe a half hour away. It’s a tough situation. You want to have positive community leaders. We need community watch-leaders. But we need to set better examples, especially if you’re a community watch-leader. You have to set a better example than what he did.”
