“Ashes In The Air” is the premiere single off of the alternative rock band’s thirteenth studio album Flaming Lips & Heady Fwends.
Over the past few months, there have been small sample snippets of the project’s collaboration tracks, but today we finally get to hear the full version of the song featuring Bon Iver.
“Ashes In The Air” is a mega spacey, tripped out track with frontmen Justin Vernon and Wayne Coyne singing:
“You and me / we had a sudden thus / but you ran in to save them / and I didn’t give a fuck”
Flaming Lips & Heady Fwends is slated to be released on Record Store Day, April 21st.
