Skullcandy has officially announced their updated skate team.

The list of new team riders is headlined by Eric Koston, who many consider to be one of the most influential skateboarders of this generation, 2011 Street League Champion Sean Malto and Baker pro Theotis Beasley.  The team is anchored by industry icon and Berrics co-founder, Steve Berra, who will be heavily involved with Skullcandy skateboarding creative projects, short films and content creation.

“I’m really psyched about my new relationship with Skullcandy. The direction they’re going with innovative audio accessories is awesome and something I really want to work with them on. I look forward to a fun future ahead,” said Eric Koston.

The Skullcandy brand is already geared towards skaters, and this announcement will put them back on track with what their original focus of the brand was. They feel that signing a team of this caliber is certainly a step in that direction.
Deals include, but are not limited to, the development of signature product, video and photo shoots, signature events and exclusive content produced in part with the Berrics.com

“Being on Skullcandy has been great for me. They’ve been really supportive of the stuff I want to do and always help get my name out there with the stuff they’re doing,” said Theotis Beasley of his continued relationship with Skullcandy.
