In the next 48 hours Wisconsin police, along with Washington County Sheriffs department, will release the 911 tapes surrounding the shooting death of 20-year-old Bo Morrison, who was killed in the early hours of March 3rd in the small Wisconsin town of Slinger (population 3910).

In the aftermath of Bo’s killing, Washington County has failed to release the 911 tapes and transcripts, photos of the crime scene and the un-redacted police report.

Protected under the “Castle Doctrine,” an offshoot of Florida’s Stand Your Ground law, Bo’s killer Adam Kind is a free man after he found Bo hiding on his porch when an underage drinking party was broken up by a neighbor next door.
The county released investigative records, but only an edited version of the 911 call Jerilyn Kind, Adam’s wife, made almost at the same moment her husband fired the fatal shot that killed Bo, which has Morrison’s mother and her lawyer perplexed and angry.
Lauri Morrison told the Journal Sentinel:
“This is like salt in the wound. Do they need to protect Adam from what he said on tape? What exactly was said?”
She said she wonders if Kind made some kind of racial slur because her mixed-race son appeared African-American.
Bo’s family has created a change.org petition in hopes of repealing the Castle Doctrine law in Wisconsin.
