Who doesn’t love Karmin’s rendition of popular songs on YouTube, especially those rap tunes?

Amy Heidemann of Karmin speaks on the origin of her love for hip-hop, which was inspired by Dr. Dre‘s Chronic 2001 that her boyfriend stole a copy of for her in middle school. How romantic! 

NEW MUSIC: Karmin “Too Many Fish!”

Amy also talks about how Kanye West‘s Twisted Dark Fantasy was a catalyst to Karmin rapping on YouTube.

She also mentions that she and Nick Noonan’s first song was Mariah Carey and Jay-Z‘s “Heartbreaker,” as well as how she forgot some of Busta Rhymes rap lyrics at a radio station.
