State prosecutors have formally filed an objection to George Zimmerman’s motion to disqualify Judge Kenneth Lester.
Last week, Zimmerman’s defense filed a motion to have circuit court Judge Lester removed from the case.
Prosecutors responded to the motion, saying:
“If a party doesn’t like a court’s findings that doesn’t mean they have the right to ask for a new judge.”
Prosecutors went on to say that Zimmerman’s motion for a new judge is “long on conjecture and irrelevant and inaccurate bombast.”
The state continued:
“Despite supposedly being biased against George Zimmerman, judge has TWICE granted him bond.”
The state also slammed Zimmerman’s attorney, Mark O’Mara, for numerous media appearances, in its motion to object the request for a new judge.
