State prosecutors have named several previously unidentified witnesses in the George Zimmerman case.

One of the aforementioned witnesses is # 4 – Cheryl Brown, who said that her son Witness 14 was eye witness to the shooting and said Zimmerman didn’t shoot Trayvon Martin in self-defense as he claims.

The state released the witness’s names because they have previously voluntarily given interviews, and Judge Kenneth Lester ruled on their release June 12th.

As reported by the Orlando Sentinel:

The newly disclosed witness list does not include new witnesses, just those whose identities earlier were kept secret by prosecutors, something both sides agreed would help protect their privacy.

But Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. ordered the release of the names of those witnesses who had previously talked publicly to reporters.

The just disclosed names include Brandy Green, the girlfriend of Trayvon’s father. Trayvon was spending the week with her. She lived in the same gated community as Zimmerman.

It also includes Mary Cutcher and Selma Mora, two roommates who heard cries for help and the gunshot. They told CNN they did not believe the cries came from Zimmerman, something also in dispute.

Back in late March, Brown during an interview on MSNBC’s Politics Nation with the Rev. Al Sharpton, said y that police waited five days before seeking to question her son and then told her they didn’t believe the shooting was self-defense.

When Sharpton asked whether the boy, who called 911 at the time of the incident Feb. 26, believed Zimmerman shot Martin in self-defense, Brown firmly replied, “Not at all.”

Below is the interview Brown had with Sharpton back in March.
