Realizing the backlash he was getting on Twitter, and not wanting to get into a tit-for-tat beef with Swizz Beatz, the producer quickly tried to back peddle his words, going on his Twitter and saying that XXL made the Swizz Beatz comment the focus of the article, when that wasn’t the focus of the interview.
Swizz didn’t really comment directly, but he did send out this cryptically loaded Tweet:
Yesterday, ThisIs50 caught up with Swizz Beatz, who was at a video shoot, and the producer had this to say when asked if he was relevant:
“Y’all going to start this relevant sh*t? Don’t let this clown pump you up with this relevant. We at this video shoot right now.”
Swizz, who maybe realized he didn’t want to go too much into beef mode, cooled out a little and said:
“But you know anyways man, it’s all positive energy from me. I can’t get in that zone. I’m just happy to be here. Been doing this since 1998, 300 million-something sold. Domestically.”
No response from Mr. Bangladesh yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
Knowing him, there will be something!
