Hello GlobalGrind: It’s @iyazlive!
My first day on the tour was in June and we kicked it off with a huge water fight. It was big enough that the cops had to block off the streets for the fight. Justin, Sean, and everyone that was involved in the tour were duking it out with water guns in the middle of these streets. Security was everywhere, trying to stay dry, but also keeping us on lock down, because fans would go nuts if they saw Justin or I.

I’m started to get more attention when I’m out in public. When I’m in New York I can see people pointing at me as I walk by and I can hear them saying “Iyaz,” but I keep my head straight. Then they started yelling “Iyaz!” to see if I’ll turn around, but I keep my head straight. I usually have headphones on, listening to Green Day, Young Money, Drake or the Jones Brothers. When I want to sing a song that isn’t mine I’ll click on “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus.
I’ve been watching Hannah Montana with Miley Cyrus for so long and it’s still funny to me. I like shows that have a lot of sarcasm, and I started watching the show way before I was on an episode.
I still listen to Justin too, especially his song, “Up,” – it’s such a great song. Justin is like my little brother and no matter what we do; we try to make it into a little bit of a competition (like playing video games or pranking each other:)

We only play one type of video game: basketball. It’s either NBA 2K or NBA Live with me representing the L.A. Lakers. Everyone is usually on their XBOX, since they sponsor the tour. I posted a video on my YouTube of the two of us playing. Check it out.
