It took weeks before there was an arrest made in the murder case of Ernest Hoskins, Jr., a 21-year-old man from Arkansas.

On the day of his murder, Ernest attended a luncheon with three other men who worked at Raynell Industries in Little Rock, including his boss Chris Reynolds. The workers were at Chris’ house when Chris used a 44-magnum pistol to fatally shoot Ernest in the face. After police took Chris in for questioning, he was allowed to walk out of the police station freely. He was finally arrested yesterday and charged with first-degree murder.

The Hoskins family hired lawyer Benjamin Crump, the legal representative fighting on behalf of Trayvon Martin’s family in the George Zimmerman trial, to represent them.

Ernest and his wife Nikkisha were newlyweds who planned to celebrate their marriage at a large reception on November 17. Instead, they had to prepare for Ernest’s funeral. They also had one daughter together.
