Former White House press secretary Dana Perino jumped into the gun-control firestorm on Wednesday during a taping of Fox News’ “The Five.”

When the discussion turned to Kasandra Perkins and Jovan Belcher’s murder-suicide, she suggested that if women in domestic violence situations were armed, they’d be able to protect themselves better. Then, in a comment that has shocked proponents who advocate against domestic violence she said, rather dismissively:

“Well, maybe, or make better decisions.”

Perino isn’t the first one to allude that if Perkins was armed she’d be alive, but we’re not sure what to think about the other insensitive comment.
