“The best things in life are free, free my n***a Boosie!” Looks like Lil Wayne, and anybody who’s a fan of Lil Boosie will soon get their wish.

DETAILS: Lil Boosie Found Not Guilty of Murder!

But the Louisiana rapper’s forthcoming release from prison could have easily been something only imagined if his investigators didn’t act promptly after realizing the rapper was coerced into a guilty plea for smuggling drugs, following a victory over a 1st degree murder charge.

According to Hip-Hop Enquirer, investigators let it be known that the rapper attempted to smuggle drugs into Dixon Correctional Center once and into Angola State Penitentiary twice.

But of course, there’s two sides to every story. On Boosie’s end, allegation has been made that a police informant provided him with syrup – which is a substance he was addicted to – in exchange for his services. Hmm! It’ll be interesting to see how this story develops.

Lil Boosie is expected to come out some time in February.
