The Daily Grind Video

So word out of Cali is that they are about to make a biopic of legendary group NWA. This will definitely be a dope movie if made the right way. One thing about biopics are that if the story is not taken seriously, it can turn out to be very wack. Here at Global Grind, we started thinking about what would be great biopics to watch. A couple of names that came to mind were Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye and Richard Pryor, just to name a few. In fact, some of the biopics mentioned are coming to theaters in the coming years.

What makes a great biopic depends on the person’s life, what they went through, what influences they had and what drove them to become the people they became. Either way, check out these biopics we would like to see.

Aaliyah: The beautiful R&B singer who tragically lost her life in a plane crash would be an interesting story if told correctly. Her relationship with R.Kelly has been an unspoken subject in hip-hop circles.

Jason William Mizell: AKA Jam Master Jay, one of the founding members of RUN DMC was an all around musician playing the bass, trumpet and guitar before turning his attention to the turntables. This would be an amazing movie and we would definitely check it out.

Kurt Cobain: There were many variations told about Cobain but a biopic big screen story has yet to be told.

Nina Simone: Born Eunice Kathleen Waymon was one of the greatest American singers, s
