A homeless man by the name of Billy Ray Harris was in Kansas asking for whatever people could spare, when Sarah Darling stopped to give him some change, and dropped her engagement ring in his cup by mistake.

Billy found the ring about an hour after she stopped by and held it for safe keeping.
Harris told Kansas City’s KCTV5:
“The ring was so big that I knew if it was real, it was expensive.”
Sarah, who had put her ring in her change purse because it was bothering her, was upset about losing the ring due to its sentimental value.
When she traced her steps back to Billy and asked if she had left anything valuable, he gave her back her ring.
Sarah commented:
“It seemed like a miracle. I thought for sure there was no way I would get it back. I think in our world we often jump to like the worst conclusion, and it just makes you realize that there are good people out there.”
Lucky it was Billy, because a lot of other people – homeless or not – would have taken that ring right to the pawn shop.

Sarah rewarded him with all the money she had in her wallet.
