What I Learned From Lil Wayne’s Jail Preparation |

<p>Last month, Lil Wayne was expected to formally plead guilty to attempted gun possession and begin serving&nbsp; a one year jail sentence.&nbsp; Lucky for him, his lawyer made a last minute request to postpone the proceedings so that he could undergo emergency dental surgery and Wayne scored a few extra weeks of freedom.</p><p>The rapper made sure to put his time to good use.&nbsp; He underwent a marathon oral surgery session which included a total of eight root canals and he reportedly shot approximately 17 music videos (over three days) in preparation for his time out of the spotlight.</p><p>I definitely applaud Wayne&rsquo;s efforts.&nbsp; He has always been a prolific artist with a tremendous work ethic but his pre-jail behavior is pretty typical of someone under the gun (pun intended).&nbsp; We tend to wait until the situation is dire or critical before we kick ourselves into productivity overdrive.</p><p>Here are my ideas on how to declare your own state of emergency and schedule short bursts of high productivity.</p>
