Yesterday we got a glimpse of Kid Cudi’s album artwork for his upcoming album Indicud. The framed explosion made for an interesting concept, and while it’s completely original, the visual comes courtesy of the DONDA think tank.
DONDA, created by Kanye West and mostly run by his longtime artistic director Virgil Abloh, has created some of the most interesting album covers and single covers in the last year. From Lil Wayne to Beyonce, DONA has worked with some of the most recognized artists in the world of hip-hop and R&B and the end result is always memorable.
Many of you have read that DONDA was responsible for Lil’ Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being II album cover, but you may have not been aware that the Long.Live.A$AP album cover was also the brainchild of the good folks over at DONDA.
DONDA was created to be a think tank for everything from music to architecture, but so far they have been making a lot of leeway with album and single covers.
Have a look at the gallery above for some of the coolest DONDA creations that have changed the way we look at album covers all together.
