The story behind Adam Lanza, the shooter who killed himself after shooting up Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT, just keeps getting deeper and deeper.

A relative has just come out to reveal Lanza’s dark past while attending the elementary school as a student that involved bullying and beatings from other students.

The relative told the NY Daily News about how the bullying drove his mother to nearly sue the school over his son’s trauma:

“Nancy felt fiercely protective of him,” the relative said. She was convinced the school wasn’t doing enough to protect Adam. It made her irate. Adam would come home with bruises all over his body. His mom would ask him what was wrong, and he wouldn’t say anything. He would just sit there. She was trying to get proof. She wanted to know where the bruises were coming from.”

The site reports:

Investigators found a Sandy Hook report card inside the house — along with a holiday gift card from mother to son with a check for him to buy a new gun.

The relative says never seemed emotionally right after his time in Sandy Hook and Nancy switched him to another school after sixth grade. New footage shows the shooter when he was just in Kindergarten. Watch them below.

Such a sad story! We pray for the victims of the Newtown shooting.
