In a recent interview with Nightline to promote his memoir Hillbilly Heart, Cyrus was grilled on his daughter’s relationship and why he kept it vague when writing about the couple’s future in his book.
He responded:
“I didn’t know the answer. They’re young. They’re kids. The great news is, they’re great friends. They’re really, really good friends. If you end up getting married, that’s your business too, you know?”
When he was directly asked if he thinks they will tie the knot, he simply responded:
“I don’t know. I play it by ear.”
