Get ready guys, Playboy has gone 3-D. The June 2010 issue of Playboy will have a new first, a 3-D centerfold. The centerfold shot was taken using state-of-the-art, stereoscopic, high-resolution digital photography.
The nude, 3-D photo is that of Hope Dworacyzk, the 2010 Playmate of the Year, will pop out to reader’s wearing the 3-D glasses provided with the issue. ‘I wanted to create a 3-D pictorial for the very first issue of Playboy, but didn’t have enough money to include the 3-D glasses,’ Hefner comments, reflecting on the earlier years of the magazine, “…I think Playboy fans will enjoy seeing our Playmate of the Year’s true form.’
The hit series “True Blood” is sponsoring the June issue, and promoting their third season on HBO. The “True Blood” ad is also in 3-D, including a vampire Data Sheet, which gives a different angle to the classic style of the magazine’s features.
