Funny how life turns out.
It’s no secret that Mannie Fresh, formerly of Cash Money, and Kanye West are good friends. The two producers met almost 15 years ago, and instantly sparked up a friendship.
During an interview with VLAD TV, Mannie Fresh talked about his friendship with Mr. West and revealed that Yeezy almost thought about signing to Cash Money back in the day.
“He actually came to Cash Money looking for a deal. I’ve been knowing him since then.”
Mannie went on to recall Kanye’s humble beginnings as a producer, stating:
“This was my first introduction to him. The only thing I could say is that it was a blessing because he came back and looked back. Without knowing him, I just felt like he was a good dude and lent him some equipment or whatever to do what he had to do and he never forgot about it.”
Aside from Mannie Fresh’s trip down memory lane, he’s been surrounded by the controversy of a Big Tymers reunion without him.
Birdman announced last week that he was planning a Big Tymers reunion, and all was well, until he revealed he wanted to replace Mannie Fresh with Drake and Lil Wayne.
Mannie Fresh brushed off the exclusion and maintained that Birdman can’t have a Big Tymers reunion without him.
