If you love to lead the pack on all the coolest music, then you should be listening to Lion Babe

One babe, Jillian Hervey, and one guy, Lucas Goodman, make up the soulful duo inspired by eras like ’70s soul and ’90s hip-hop.

The duo’s eclectic new video “Treat Me Like Fire” caught our attention a few months ago, and our love for the song has grown tremendously.

Filled with images of a flawless Jillian Hervey dressed as a personified version of a lion and showing off her classical dance skills, the “Treat Me Like Fire” video will garner your attention long enough to quickly press replay after hearing Jillian’s beautiful bellowing vocals.

Besides the fact that Jillian Hervey is the daughter of actress/singer and former pageant queen, Vanessa Williams, don’t count on her to go tell it on the mountain.

Jillian isn’t using her mommy’s superstar status to elevate herself up the musical hierarchy.

We here at GlobalGrind think Lion Babe is absolutely awesome, so we rounded up 11 great reasons why everyone should listen to their smash hit “Treat Me Like Fire.”

Also, those interested in seeing Lion Babe in living color can catch all of Jillian’s glory and Lucas Goodman’s skills at The Liberty in New York City.

Lion Babe is helping raise money for educational supplies for children in Kenya.
