With Father’s Day right around the corner, singer/songwriter Mayer Hawthorne releases a song in honor of his father titled “Reach Out Richard.”
The Pharrell-produced track is as soulful and calming as any other Mayer Hawthorne track, but being that “Reach Out Richard” is dedicated to his father, the song is a little more special.
“Richard you taught me all I need to know, but there are some things you can’t prepare for/all I ever want to do, is be as good a man as you,” sings Mayer.
Mayer recently released the cover art and tracklist for his new album, Where Does This Door Go, and his new track “Her Favorite Song” featuring UK songstress Jessie Ware.
Mayer’s forthcoming album, Where Does This Door Go, hits store shelves July 16.
