One of the best things about summertime is the concerts. True, there are concerts all year long, but something about the beautiful summer weather brings out the biggest artists. Along with Coachella, which took place earlier this April, and Hot 97’s SummerJam, two of  the biggest annual music festivals are Rock the Bells and Lollapalooza.

Rock the Bells, which caters to fans of classic, golden-age Hip-Hop, has an immense lineup this year. Along with performances by Snoop Dogg, who will perform his classic debut album Doggystle in it’s entirety, A Tribe Called Quest (performing their classic Midnight Marauders) and Wu-Tang Clan (revisiting Enter the 36 Chambers), this years RTBs will see the return of the reclusive Lauryn Hill. Ms. Hill will perform songs from her record-breaking classic album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill as well as songs from her Fuggees days.

Lollapalooza, one of the longest running music festivals, caters more to fans of alternative rock, indie, and pop music. This year the festival will be headlined by new queen of pop Lady Gaga, pop-punk veterans Green Day, and The Strokes. Other performers include B.O.B and Erykah Badu.
