The Young Money general is readying his forthcoming album, I Am Not A Human Being II, but he’s also readying his retirement.

Lil Wayne sat down with Sway for MTV’s Special, MTV First: Lil Wayne where he discussed his current relationship with music and his passion for skating. 

During the interview, Lil Wayne dropped a bomb about retiring, stating: 

“I know ya’ll want me around for a little bit and Carter V is my last album…I’ve been rapping since I was eight years old. That’s a long time.I’d like to do so many more things, and when I like to do something, I end up loving to do it real quick. When I love to do something, I’m fully focused on it and it only. Music is sometimes not that it.”

Earlier this year, Lil Wayne mentioned that he was collaborating with Kanye for his long-awaited I Am Not A Humam Being II. Many people thought the collaboration would be musically, but Weezy clarified his statement by saying: 

“He didn’t do any music on this album, but Ye is actually packaging my album. It was his idea. I was like, ‘OK, whatever.’ He wanted that. He was like, ‘I wanna package Wayne’s album.’ I’ma let ‘Ye do what he do. As long as it ain’t nothin’ out the box crazy. Ye is Ye, he’s a genius.”

Tunechi’s I Am Not A Human Being II is currently scheduled to drop on February 19.
