Exactly one year today, a young black kid wearing a hoodie named Trayvon Martin was wrongfully shot and killed by a man with hate in his heart.

Our Hoodies Will Always Stay Up For Trayvon Martin! by Michael Skolnik!

And Public Enemy decided to pay tribute to Trayvon’s memory with this cut from their The Evil Empire of Everything album called, “Beyond Trayvon,” a title that iterates how the 17-year old teenager’s death was no isolated incident, but in fact, something of societal significance: the ignorance cultivated from racism.

NEW VIDEO: Public Enemy “Everything!”

“I could hear it now. That’s the same old racist sh*t! Thought he had a gun. That’s the same old racist sh*t! Confessions of a trigger-happy hitman. Murderous, homicidal nature, the racist plan,” Public Enemy raps.

February 26th is a day to honor Trayvon Martin. Hoodies up everybody!
